Banffy Haus German Shepherds
WELCOME TO OUR BEAUTIFUL KENNEL HOME IN THE COUNTRY IN OSTRANDER OHIO!!
Pictured above are some of the kennels at our site. The dog runs have a 10 x 5 outside run for each dog, a covered roof, outside exercise yard, and an inside crate area for safety and protection from the elements. The outside runs use the finest powder coated kennels available and are floored by about 5 to 10 inches of stone which acts as a natural septic. It is difficult to tell that you are at a kennel as the smell is so fresh and clean. This way feces and urine are kept away from the dogs and is easily leeched into the soil.
The inside has lights, heater, and music playing when our buddies have litters. They are only fed the best, drink out of buckets cleaned and filled daily, romp in and out as they please, and are given oodles of love.
For our pregnant ladies we have a hand made pine whelping box with a pig rail and pups are whelped on rubber mats in two carefully designed whelping rooms. Mom has access to the outside in each of the two rooms. The puppies in the beginning get a brand new sheet each day which is disgarded after one use. As they get older they romp in cedar chips which repel fleas and other bugs. Our pups get the special treatment from my kids. Pictured below is my 8 year old Aniko with a protection trained, schutzhund 1 dog from the Pallas Athene kennels in Germany. Now that's temperament. Also, see how happy our lady is. Our dogs are part of a happy pack and always have their tongues hanging out, with the goofy smiling look on their faces!!
However, the fact is, regardless of how nice the kennels, our German shepherd dogs daily human attention inside, while we work outside, running and playing, and just loving.
